Venire (to come), salire (to go up) and tenere (to keep, to hold) in the imperative
I verbi venire, salire e tenere sono irregolari e all'imperativo si coniugano così:
(lei) venga
(noi) veniamo
(voi) venite
(loro) vengano
(lei) salga
(noi) saliamo
(voi) salite
(loro) salgano
(lei) tenga
(noi) teniamo
(voi) tenete
(loro) tengano
Vieni a mangiare.
Come and eat.
Salite da noi.
Come up to our place.
Tenga il suo resto.
Keep the change.
Note: other verbs that follow the same pattern as tenere (to hold, to keep) are esporre (to expose, to exhibit), disporre (to arrange, to have available), proporre (to propose), deporre (to set down) and comporre (to compose).
